Title: Music Video - Danse Macabre (Silent Film & 78rpm)
Description: This is the First Music Video I made. I have some 16mm domestic films produced in 1950s, and recently I found out that one of them is a nice short film named Danse Macabre. According to the information on IMDb, this film was produced in 1922, starring Adolph Bolm, a famous Russian ballet dancer and choreographer of that time. So, I made a Music video, using a 78rpm record from my collection, Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre, with Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra with Leopold Stokowski Conducting, Recorded in 1924. (As far as I know, this is the very first electrically-made Orchestral recording in the world)
Hope you'll enjoy this.

As the moon was being held closely by the sky,
I became frightened by loneliness,
So I called out, searching for you, but couldn't see through my tears.
When reflected in your eyes,
I would be smiling,
Never again shall I find a smile like that one.
In the pitch dark, my cries go on,
And there I see you,
Too far away.
To the point of breaking,
Hold me tightly.
If I can meet with you again,
Even in a dream,
Let me have eternal sleep.
To the point of breaking,
Hold me tightly.
The dream, from which I've been waking up, is vanishing,
Your arms and beloved voice is slipping away.
Because I will meet with you again,
Because I made a promise,
With love that would overflow,
Cover me gently --
Let me have eternal sleep.
I can't see you,
I can't see you.

Title: Danse Macabre - BPRD music video
Description: Happy (Belated) Halloween! ^^()
"Danse Macabre" by Camille Saint-Saens starring the 'Angel of Death' and 'Karl Rupert Kroenen' from the Hellboy movies!
According to ancient superstition, "Death" appears at midnight every year on Halloween. Death has the power to call forth the dead from their graves to dance for him while he plays his violin. His skeletons dance for him until the first break of dawn, when they must return to their graves until the next year.
Lyrics of the accompanying poem (by Henry Cazalis) are:
Zig, zig, zig, Death in cadence,
Striking with his heel a tomb,
Death at midnight plays a dance-tune,
Zig, zig, zag, on his violin.
The winter wind blows, and the night is dark;
Moans are heard in the linden trees.
Through the gloom, white skeletons pass,
Running and leaping in their shrouds.
Zig, zig, zig, each one is frisking,
The bones of the dancers are heard to crack.
Zig zig, zig, Death contines,
The unending scraping on his instrument.
But hist! of a sudden they quit the dance,
They push forward, they fly; the cock has crowed.
