Description: Pepe Romero Music Video shot in film in San Francisco California. Shot and edited by John Jimenez. Art direction by Jenny Hale. Executive Producer James Hunley, Line Production, John Webb. This video first aired on The Acoustic Experience hosted by James Hunley and won a Regional Emmy. About the shoot James Hunley writes "It was another cold shoot for Pepe. We like to see if he has de icing equipment on those amazing hands." The crew grumbled when I insisted on Shooting on the Marin Headlands (the other side of the Golden gate bridge) but when John set up the sticks and looked at the shot he said, yeah this will work". The swan cruising behind Pepe was just a stoke of luck, we were all smiling. The shoot was done in one day with a crew of about 8 people. If the weather went bad we would have been S.O.L. Pepe plays so many concerts a re shoot was out of the question. We got lucky, both the light and the talent playing and shooting are so good. Description: Images of the Russian Orthodox Church in Alaska are matched with a thoughtful piece by Granados played by Celedonio and Angel Romero. The Church in Alaska is suffering under a bad bishop, Nikolai, who has shown disrespect to the native elders and the time-honoured traditions of this local church. The bishop in the images is not Nikolai (for I would not publicise such a wicked man), but Archbishop Yevgeny, the rector of the Moscow Theological Academy. As always, I seek to find the beautiful in the ordinary, and the unseen strength and wisdom of the "common man". The native Orthodox Christians are, indeed, "the Northern Jewel of the Church". Pray for the suffering Church of Alaska and its native faithful. They are in the right in this.
