Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone was number four on our summer concert agenda. We are huge fans of the British Invasion of the 1960s. However, even if we were not, we would still love Mr. Noone immensely. He is such a great showman and going to his concerts have become a yearly event for my family. If fact, we are actually card-carrying members of his fan club. We were able to see the show right on the beach at the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. What a fun and memorable experience. The city of Santa Cruz really goes all out to attract tourism. Definitely, go see Peter Noone's show. He is funny, friendly, and genuinely personable. Mr. Noone is a true gentleman. We were amazed at how many teens and young adults seemed familiar with this music. Everyone, young and old, sang along, danced, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Also, catch the free Friday night oldies concerts held at the Boardwalk. These shows have great acts, are very family orientated, and did I mention they are free of charge. You will have to wait in line for a good seat. We arrived at 11:15 am for a 6:30 pm show and still had over 20 people ahead of us. This was a gigantic crowd. But great extras like allowing ice-chests and low lawn-chars, as well as, two different autograph sessions, make this a must-revisit venue. FMD Check out the free summer band line-up.
