Soaked in period-correct 70's iconic imagery, Alive! delivers all the swagger, fire, pomp and bombast of a sold out show at The Filmore or Cobo Hall without the need for a time machine. Whether performing in a 200-seat club or 10,000-seat arena, Alive! treats you to an astonishing visual and aural experience - from the bell-bottom pants to the wail of mighty Les Paul guitars, bringing a full-scale 70's rock concert to any stage. If you remember seeing or ever dreamed of seeing Bad Co., David Bowie, Zeppelin or Queen, Alive! will take you there in arena-rock style. Alive! was formed by world-famous Tesla drummer/percussionist and Geffen recording artist Troy Luccketta along with guitarist/producer Steve Ouimette. Completing the ultimate lineup is vocalist/guitarist Robert Mason (Ozzy Osbourne, Lynch Mob, Cry of Love) and bassist Dave Henzerling (King Kobra, Keel, Lizzy Borden) both brought together by their mutual love of 70's rock. With countless session hours, platinum records, and world tours between them, Troy, Steve, Robert and Dave joined forces as Alive! to perform the most important rock songs of the time with the passion and expertise the music has long deserved. Synopsis!
"That Don't Impress Me Much" is a song by Canadian singer Shania Twain. It was the sixth country single released from her 1997 album Come on Over. It was third to pop and fourth to international markets. The song was written by Robert John "Mutt" Lange and Shania Twain, and was originally released to North American country radio stations in late 1998. It became her third biggest single on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains one of Twain's biggest hits worldwide. "That Don't Impress Me Much" was included in both the Come on Over and Up! Tours. The country version was performed on the Come on Over Tour and the dance version on the Up! Tour. "That Don't Impress Me Much" was named Foreign Hit of the Year at the 2000 Danish Grammy Awards.
After the single's 1998 country release, Billboard magazine wrote that "it doesn't sound remotely country" and criticized the simplistic lyrics, but praised the melody's "quirky appeal," Twain's delivery, and Robert "Mutt" Lange's "skillful production. After the single's 1999 pop release, in a separate review, the magazine said that the single "could possibly solidify Twain's status as the decade's crossover queen," though they criticized Lange's use of "dated-sounding instrumental elements to 'pop' it up.
The music video for "That Don't Impress Me Much" was shot in the Mojave Desert at El Mirage Dry Lake and Barstow, California. It was directed by Paul Boyd and shot on November 3rd and 4th, 1998; it was released on December 2, 1998. It depicts Twain hitchhiking in the middle of the desert, in a hooded leopard skin outfit (though in some scenes the hooded outfit is open, showing a black sports bra), and being approached by several men offering her a ride out of the desert. These include a man in a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, on a motorcycle, in an army jeep, a tanker truck, and on a Friesian horse. One of the men was played by male model John Devoe, previously appeared in her "You're Still the One" video. The video won the Video of the Year award at the Canadian Country Music Awards and the MuchMoreMusic Award at the 1999 MuchMusic Video Awards. Two versions of the video were made, one with the 'Original Album Version', released to country channels, and the 'Dance Mix Edit' released to pop and international stations. The 'Original Album Version' of the video is available on Twain's DVD The Platinum Collection. It ranked number 77 on VH1's 100 Greatest Videos in Rock and Roll in 2001 and number 45 on CMT's 100 Greatest Videos in Country Music in 2004, making it the only video to make both lists. It was also named country music's sexiest video in 2006 by CMT Canada.
.....Lyrics.....
I've known a few guys who thought they were pretty smart
But you've got being right down to an art
You think you're a genius-you drive me up the wall
You're a regular original, a know-it-all
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you're a rocket scientist
That don't impress me much
So you got the brain but have you got the touch
Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright
But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night
That don't impress me much
I never knew a guy who carried a mirror in his pocket
And a comb up his sleeve-just in case
And all taht extra hold gel in your hair oughtta lock it
'Cause Heaven forbid it should fall outta place
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you're Brad Pitt
That don't impress me much
So you got the looks but have you got the touch
Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright
But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night
That don't impress me much
You're one of those guys who likes to shine his machine
You make me take off my shoes before you let me get in
I can't believe you kiss your car good night
C'mon baby tell me-you must be jokin', right!
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you've got a car
That don't impress me much
So you got the moves but have you got the touch
Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright
But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night
That don't impress me much
You think you're cool but have you got the touch
Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright
But that won't keep me warm on the long, cold, lonely night
That don't impress me much
(Okay, so what do you think you're Elvis or something...
Whatever
That don't impress me.....End)

Lace the macy's don't have it
A hatred addict
I need faces mad with frowns
When I'm around
Or I wasted fabric
I don't feel greater
To my plush pieces
'Cause you to suck your teeth
So mean-mugging on my clean-thugging
Mean nothing
Women dream I'm your husband
I'm Alex Pushkin
The black poetry-writing Russian
Ice disgusting
I started bling
How could you question my direction
Or my time for collection
Gangstas two-steppin'
You hate me
Should thank me
But lately
I burned so much trees
I keep environmentalists angry
I'm a rare dude, I'm a wonder
Your best success is my worst blunder
Y'all living trendy on pennies
I cop plenty Fendi
Vivienne Westwood, I'm good
Get the whole Trump Tower top floor for the hood

And why to Miami? 'Cause . . .

Now let's toast to the hustlers

I see the haters on the floor jockin my swag
I'm popping Ralph Lauren tags
I'm pouring champagne inside a polo glass

Bet that, 300 carats the average up on the neck, black
Paid the cost, be the boss, Black Caesar floss

Title: Billy Ocean - Loverboy [12" Extended Club Mix]
Description: 1985's Smash (#2 at U.S. charts in February) "Loverboy" by Billy Ocean. My own video remix done in the 12" Extended Club Mix. Hope you'll enjoy with this awesome *remix ... :)
Review.- Billy Ocean holds the prestigious title of being the biggest selling British black artist of all time. During a career spanning over 25 years, he has sold in excess of 30 million singles and albums worldwide, reaching his pinnacle troughout the 1980's.
He was one of the first Caribbean singers to be embraced by MTV, resulting in a string of Top Ten hits during the mid-'80s. Born Leslie Charles in Trinidad on January 21, 1950, Ocean moved to England at the age of eight, and by his teenaged years, was singing regularly in London clubs. During this time, Ocean paid the bills by working at Ford Motors, but continued to pen songs and perform, as he issued an obscure debut single in 1974 under the name of Scorched Earth. But by 1975, the singer had dropped his alias and was going by Billy Ocean, resulting in a self-titled debut that spawned the singer's first hit single, "Love Really Hurts Without You," peaking on the singles chart at number two in the United Kingdom and number 22 in the United States. Ocean continued to issue albums (1980's City Limit, 1981's Nights (Feel Like Getting Down), and 1982's Inner Feelings) plus further singles, with "L.O.D. (Love on Delivery)" and the title track from Nights (the latter of which crossed over onto the U.S. R&B charts) being sizeable hits; as he also began penning songs for other artists, including a track on LaToya Jackson's 1980 self-titled debut.
But breakthrough success was just around the corner for Ocean, as he scored a massive hit single in 1984 with "Caribbean Queen," a track that shot to the top of the charts worldwide. Depending on the region, the song's title and lyrics were changed slightly, resulting in the tune being known as "African Queen" and "European Queen" in other parts of the world, while the album it was taken from, Suddenly, was eventually certified double platinum (a few other singles, "Loverboy" the ballad "Suddenly," were also successful).
"Loverboy" was a track co-writted and produced together with Robert John 'Mutt' Lange, best known for producing rock bands like AC/DC and Def Leppard. Part of the music video was shot on a Caribbean island, and at Durdle Door.
Ocean's winning streak continued with 1986's Love Zone (another double-platinum hit), which spawned a pair of hit singles: "When the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going" (which was used as the theme song to the movie Jewel of the Nile), which peaked at number two, and the number-one "There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)." 1988 saw Ocean score another number-one single with "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car," taken from the platinum album Tear Down These Walls. But afterward, the hits dried up for Ocean (although his 1989 collection, Greatest Hits, has been a steady seller over the years), as such further albums as Time to Move On, L.I.F.E., and Showdown failed to spawn hits.

Title: Billy Ocean - Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car (HQ AV)
Description: 1988's Billy Ocean number-one/smash-hit "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car", which one was the last success of his fabolous career.
Review.- Billy Ocean (born Leslie Sebastian Charles, 21 January 1950 in Fyzabad, Trinidad and Tobago to Grenadian parents), and moved to England with his family at the age of eight. In his teenage years, he sang regularly in London clubs. He released his first single in 1972 on Spark Records as Les Charles.
By 1976 he had adopted the name Billy Ocean and recorded his debut album, Billy Ocean, with the first single, "Love Really Hurts Without You," charting at number 2 in the UK and number 22 in the U.S. More hits followed, including as "L.O.D. (Love On Delivery)". He also wrote songs for other artists such as LaToya Jackson. In 1982 he hit the U.S. Rhythm and Blues Chart with "Nights (Feel Like Getting Down)."
Ocean's period of greatest success began with Suddenly in 1984 and its main single "Caribbean Queen". The song's title and lyrics were changed for different regions, such that the song is also known as "African Queen" or "European Queen". The album's title track also became a hit. His 1986 album Love Zone also sold very well. It included the hit singles "When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going" (the theme from the film "The Jewel of the Nile", this was a number one hit in the UK and a number two in the U.S.; and "There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)" (a U.S. number one, and also a major UK hit).
1988's saw Ocean score another number-one single with "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car," taken from the platinum album "Tear Down These Walls". But afterward, the hits dried up for Ocean (although his 1989 collection, Greatest Hits, has been a steady seller over the years), as such further albums as Time to Move On, L.I.F.E., and Showdown failed to spawn hits.
Title: lembranças de paul young
Description: Paul was born in Luton, Bedfordshire. He has an older brother Pat and an older sister Amanda.[citation needed] After school, he went to work at the Vauxhall Motors factory and in his spare time played in several bands as bass guitarist. The first group for which he became lead singer was Kat Kool & The Kool Kats. In the late 1970s he joined the Streetband, who had one Top 20 hit in the UK, with the humorous, novelty track "Toast", reaching No. 18 in November 1978.
In December of 1979 the Streetband broke up and Young formed the Q-Tips, who established their name by playing live but had no hits in the UK, although their single "Letter Song" did enjoy minor success in mainland Europe.
The Q-Tips went their separate ways in 1982, and Young was signed by CBS Records as a solo performer. His first two singles, "Iron Out the Rough Spots" and a re-make of "Love of the Common People" had no success, but the third, a cover of the Marvin Gaye classic "Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home)" was No. 1 in the UK singles chart for three weeks in the summer of 1983, the first of fourteen British Top 40 singles, and is on the soundtrack of the 1992 British comedy film Peter's Friends.
Similar success followed all over Europe. In the UK, follow-up single "Come Back and Stay" reached No. 4, and a re-release of "Love of the Common People" made it to No. 2, while his debut album No Parlez was certified platinum in various countries.
Young's style at the time was a warm, approachable white soul, though he sometimes received playful criticism for his fashion decisions. However, his choice of an Antony Price leather suit for the cover of No Parlez was impractical for stage, where an energetic show dictated more robust clothing.
1984 was a difficult year for Young, as his first heavy promotional and live concert tour of America affected his vocal cords to the extent that he couldn't sing at all for most of the year.[citation needed] He recovered, however, to famously perform the opening line to the Band Aid single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" and his second album, The Secret of Association, secured his future success in the U.S., Japan and Australia. He continues to have occasional voice and throat difficulties, though.
Young's biggest worldwide hit followed in 1985 with a version of Daryl Hall's "Everytime You Go Away". The song reached #1 on the U.S. pop charts.
He continued to have a successful career, with some highlights such as singing the Crowded House track "Don't Dream It's Over" at the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute in 1988, producing a popular duet, "Senza una donna-Without a Woman", with Italian blues singer Zucchero in 1991, and singing "Radio Ga Ga" with Queen in 1992, at the tribute concert to the recently deceased Freddie Mercury. In 1991, he recorded a duet with Irish group Clannad for the Blake Edwards film Switch, a cover of the Joni Mitchell song "Both Sides Now".
"Don't Dream It's Over", "Senza una donna-Without a Woman", and "Both Sides Now" all feature on his first greatest hits album, entitled From Time To Time - The Singles Collection, released in 1990, including the most prominent hit singles from his first four solo albums, the three above mentioned songs and a fourth previously unreleased track, called "I'm Only Foolin' Myself".
Title: Dream Express - Midnight Dream 1979 DISCO
Description: "O.K., it's true that the American market was all but glutted with mediocre, run-of-the-mill disco bands by the end of the 1970s. It's true, too, that most have them have been forgotten -- and usually for good reason. However, there's always an exception to every rule, and though Dream Express might have long ago been forgotten (assuming anybody even remembered them to begin with), still writer/producer Wes Farrell's latest foray into disco waters produced as snappy and peppy a collection of songs as anything else he ever put his name to. "Take Me Out Dancing" -- light, bright, and highlighted by its revved-up fancy guitar intro -- is the real kicker, a blur of excitement to remind, even in 1979, that it was still fun to get-down boogie. The rest of the LP carries on in similar style, and if it's unable to match the full-on exuberance of "Take Me Out Dancing," at least it has fun trying, across the pure disco grooves of "Disco Queen," the ebullient bass and synth "Midnight Dream," the pulsing "Body Shot," and the whip-paced "Wigged Out" -- titled, of course, for the curly platinum headgear that was the Dream Express' visual trademark. Captured in vivid color on the sleeve, by the way, it leaves them looking for all the world like an explosion in a cotton-candy store. Stubbornly avoiding the Euro-styled, Meco-esque, Star Wars-ian blips and beeps that had become de rigueur elsewhere on the disco scene, Dream Express choose their grooves carefully, wrapping up the good-time fluff in a humor-laden style that is all their own. Not taxing on the brain pan, but murder on the dancing shoes, Dream Express is a pure-bred feathery romp through disco's denouement." Written by Amy Hanson, All Music Guide.
