Title: Slow and Easy-Zapp & Roger
Description: "Slow And Easy" From Zapp & Roger-All the Greatest Hits 93'cd. Lead Vocals: Roger Troutman,Shirley Murdock,Ronald Hoard.
Roger Troutman, member of the R&B/soul/funk scene Zapp which included his brothers, developed his musical skills in the thriving Dayton,OH,in the 70's along with the Ohio Players and others. His project Slow & Easy made it to #18 on the R&B charts in the fall of 93.Sadly,Roger Troutman died at the age of 47 on April 25,of 99' but this musical genius left behind memories that will remain endearing and influential to all he inspired through his presence and his music.
Shirley Murdock is best known for her soulful ballad "As We Lay," which was produced by Roger Troutman.Roger hired her as a background singer for his family's group Zapp, who had several hits.Based on this success, Troutman produced her first solo album "Shirley Murdock" out of which became her biggest hit "As We Lay". Troutman also produced her only other 2 albums "A Woman's Point Of View" (1988) and "Let There Be Love" (1991).Shirley Murdock has rededicated her life to Christ and just released a gospel cd this year titled "Soulfood" with Tyscot label.
The question has been often asked, who was the other male behind the strong & powerful voice on this song?Who was Ronald Hoard? What happened to him and what does he do now?
Ronnie"Diamond" Hoard's career started in gospel after high school. His musical roots range from vocals/playing drums and singing background for gospel group,The Blind Boys to having a guitar position with the well known Ohio Players. After collaborating with Roger on Slow & Easy, and performing background vocals on Roger's Nite & Day along with Shirley Murdock and Billy Beck of the"Ohio Players",Ronald later went on to begin a ministry in Columbus,Ohio and released a gospel project in 1996 titled "It Is Written". Pastor Hoard's ministry is blessed to this day.

More bounce
More bounce
More bounce
Much more bounce
Bounce
I-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi
La-la-la-la-la
Much more
I like to bounce
And I'm gonna make you bounce
Much more bounce
More bounce to the ounce (Much more bounce)
More bounce to the ounce (Yeah)
More bounce to the ounce (Much more)
More bounce to the ounce (Work it with me, bounce)
More bounce to the ounce (To the ounce)
More bounce to the ounce (Mmm)
More bounce to the ounce (I like it, I like it)
More bounce to the ounce
More bounce to the ounce
More bounce to the ounce (Much more)
More bounce to the ounce (I like it when we bounce)
More bounce to the ounce (And I dig it)
Get-get-get-get-get-get on the dance floor, baby
Get down, mama, yeah (More, mmm)
Get-get-get-get-get-get on the dance floor, baby
I never ever, ever seen a sexy girl like you, baby
Ooh-wee, ooh-wee, ooh-wee, ooh-wee
Ooh-wee, ooh-wee, ooh-wee, hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...
Shake it, mama
Shake it, mama
Give you more bounce to the ounce
More bounce to the ounce
More bounce to the ounce (I like to watch them bounce)
More bounce to the ounce
More bounce to the ounce
Give you more bounce to the ounce (I like to watch them bounce)
More bounce to the ounce
Give you more bounce to the ounce
More bounce to the ounce
Give you more bounce to the ounce
Give you more bounce to the ounce
I'll give you more bounce to the ounce
Give you more bounce to the ounce
Give you more bounce to the ounce
Give you more bounce to the ounce
Get-get-get-get-get-get on the dance floor, mama
Get down, baby, yeah, yeah
Lookie here, baby
Lookie there, mama
You got to let me
Ooh...you got to
Ooh-wee, ooh-wee, baby, ooh-wee, ooh-wee, ooh-wee
Ooh...baby
Mama, mama
Get-get-get-get-get-get on the dance floor, baby
Get down, mama, get down, baby

Title: Roger Troutman - Megamix
Description: Roger Troutman (November 29, 1951 - April 25, 1999) was the lead singer of the band Zapp.
Zapp (who also went by the name of "Zapp & Roger") quickly established themselves as one of funk's finest, issuing such further albums as 1982's Zapp II, 1983's Zapp III, 1984's The New Zapp IV U, and 1989's Zapp V; in addition to spawning such hit singles as "More Bounce to the Ounce," "Be Alright," "Dance Floor (Part I)," "Doo Wa Ditty (Blow That Thing)," "I Can Make You Dance (Part I)," and "Computer Love." Along with his Zapp duties, Roger also made time to issue solo albums (mixing R&B standards with originals), including such titles as 1981's The Many Facets of Roger, 1984's The Saga Continues, 1987's Unlimited!, and 1991's Bridging the Gap; while scoring such hit singles as a cover of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine (Part I)" and "I Want to Be Your Man."
On a Sunday morning, April 25, 1999, Roger Troutman was found shot and critically wounded outside his northwest Dayton recording studio around 7 a.m. According to doctors, the 47-year-old had been shot several times in the torso and was in critical condition; he died during surgery at the local hospital "Good Samaritan Hospital and Health Center". Roger's brother Larry was discovered dead in a car a few blocks away with a single gunshot wound to the head. A pistol was found inside the vehicle, which matched the description of a car leaving the scene of Roger Troutman's shooting according to witnesses. Police concluded it to be an apparent murder-suicide, but family members could not offer any reason or motive. It is likely that a personal dispute had developed between the two brothers; as far as can be determined, Larry shot Roger, then shot himself.
