BRINGING 4GOTTEN TRAXXX BACK TO THE MASSES!
We're posting audio versions of long-forgotten music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s for your listening pleasure. We tend to focus on songs or versions that either have no existing video or one that is not posted on YouTube, and/or are out-of-print, rare and difficult to find.
WE PROVIDE THIS SERVICE FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE ONLY, any copying, reproducing or downloading is strictly prohibited. We do not trade or sell mp3s, so don't even ask. All of the items pictured come from private collections, and they are not for sale.
Our purpose is to highlight songs that have been unjustly ignored over time, to reunite fans of these long-lost artists, and to hopefully generate enough renewed interest in these past classics to inspire the music industry to offer these songs for sale as legal downloads or reissue these them as compilations.
ENJOY AND REMINISCE!

Title: I Will Remember You;How Can I Be Sure - Patti Austin
Description: This is my love letter to Patti Austin. These songs are from the Carry On CD. I've done a timeline of her life from her parents, Gordon and Edna Austin's, wedding photo to her winning her long-awaited Grammy award after more than fifty years in the music business.
Patti made her debut into the world on August 10, 1950. She had to lie about her age in the early part of her career so she could tour so she is sometimes listed as being born in 1948.
The butterflies surround her late mother because of a special pact that Patti said they agreed on that the butterflies would symbolize her being there after her death. She would come to her in the form of a butterfly.
You will also see photos of all of her albums in discography order, pictures of her with Alicia Keys and Patti Labelle singing at Luther Vandross' funeral and a crystal ornament that she designed.
Patti has a brother Clyde and she has worked with Luther. I have an old picture of her with Luther but I can't find it right now. I'll be sure to add it to my future love letters. Quincy Jones said that she has a photographic ear. Rest in peace Mr. Gordon Austin, trombonist and Mrs. Edna Austin.
The pictures are from a lifetime of collecting scrapbook photos, TV Guide articles and hours on eBay.
Enjoy. If you're a fan join the Patti Austin group!

She is doing all the background vocals on her four tracks from The Dude which are Betcha' Wouldn't Hurt Me, Somethin' Special, Razzamatazz and Turn On The Action. She didn't sing an actual duet with James Ingram who was heavily featured and won a Grammy for The Dude until her Every Home Should Have One album released February of 1981 It was "Baby, Come To Me". Patti also did a duet with Luther Vandross on the album that Quincy released before "The Dude" "Sounds... And Stuff Like That!!" and that song was "I'm Gonna Miss You In The Morning." LETRA (LYRICS):
Thinkin' back in time,
When love was only in my mind,
I realize...
Ain't no second chance,
You got to hold on to romance,
Don't let it slide.
There's a special kind of magic in the air,
When you find another heart that needs to share.
Baby, come to me,
Let me put my arms around you,
This was meant to be,
And I'm oh so glad I found you,
Need you everyday,
Got to have your love around me,
Baby always stay,
'Cause I can't go back to livin' without you.
Spendin' every dime,
To keep you talkin' on the line,
That's how it was.
And all those walk together,
Out in any kind of weather,
Just because...
There's a brand new way of looking at your life,
When you know that love is standing by your side.
Baby, come to me,
Let me put my arms around you,
This was meant to be,
And I'm oh so glad I found you,
Need you everyday,
Got to have your love around me,
Baby always stay,
'Cause I can't go back to livin' without you.
The night can be cold,
There's a chill to every evening when you're all alone,
Don't talk anymore,
'Cause you know that I'll be here to keep you warm,
Oh darling keep me warm...
Baby, come to me,
Let me put my arms around you,
This was meant to be,
And I'm oh so glad I found you,
Need you everyday,
Got to have your love around me,
Baby always stay,
'Cause I can't go back to livin' without you.
Baby, come to me,
Let me put my arms around you,
Need you everyday...
