Video: Prelude, Joint Operation - Namco Sound Team (Ace Combat X)
Title: Prelude, Joint Operation - Namco Sound Team (Ace Combat X)
Description: Ace Combat X was released in 2006 for the PSP, and contained a more electronic score than it's previous PS2 predecessors. Barely any guitar or orchestra can be found in the tracks. Here is Prelude, Joint Operation, which is played in Mission 3 of the game, and is the theme song for Ace Combat X. Note that I do not know who composed this song, since I have not played the actual game. Also, the Namco Sound Team in Ace Combat X did not include Tetsukazu Nakanishi (as I believe), who has great experience with this type of music, so it would be greatly appreciated if someone helped me out. EDIT: And yes, I sincerely apologize, but I lost 8 seconds from the actual track, if you notice at the end of the video.

Video: RIDGE RACER 2 MUSIC: Grip (1994)
Title: RIDGE RACER 2 MUSIC: Grip (1994)
Description: Composed by Nobuyoshi "sanodg" Sano. I'm sure everybody knows who he is. I think he joined the Namco Sound Team a few months after he turned 23 and since then, he's become a household name, especially in Japan...
Video: ACE COMBAT 6 MUSIC: Ragno Fortress (2007)
Title: ACE COMBAT 6 MUSIC: Ragno Fortress (2007)
Description: Composed by Tetsukazu Nakanishi (pictured in vid). "Merlon", "Comona", "Hrimfaxi", "Farbanti", "Montage", "Motor Species", "The Execution"... I can't say it enough. This guy is one of the BEST game composers in history. I wish Namco had a behind-the-scenes clip of him makin these songs. Hopefully, more people will know more about the Namco Sound Team after seein all these vids...
Video: ACE COMBAT 2 MUSIC: Night And Day (1997)
Title: ACE COMBAT 2 MUSIC: Night And Day (1997)
Description: Composed by Nobuhide Isayama. He's been with the Namco Sound Team since the pre-Playstation days, but has since left the company. This track is a remake of the song (same title) from the prequel, Air Combat. Kohta Takahashi played the electric guitar and in my opinion, was the force behind most of AC2's music both on the synth and guitar...
Video: RIDGE RACERS MUSIC: Night Stream (2004)
Title: RIDGE RACERS MUSIC: Night Stream (2004)
Description: Composed by Kohta Takahashi, mostly known simply as "Kohta". He's been affiliated with the Namco Sound Team since the early-mid 90's. He's said in interviews that he likes everything from rap to classical music...
Video: ACE COMBAT 2 MUSIC: Briefing (1997)
Title: ACE COMBAT 2 MUSIC: Briefing (1997)
Description: Composed by Kohta Takahashi. Kohta has been with the Namco Sound Team since the mid-90's and has worked on various games since then...
Video: ACE COMBAT ZERO MUSIC: The Valley of Kings (2006)
Title: ACE COMBAT ZERO MUSIC: The Valley of Kings (2006)
Description: Composed by Keiki Kobayashi (pictured in vid). He's been with the Namco Sound Team for years, but he changed his style up in 2004 and since then, he's become a pretty big name in Japan. Tetsukazu Nakanishi has written most of the Ace Combat songs since 1999 and in recent years, has slowly made the transition to having Keiki Kobayashi take over...
Video: RIDGE RACER V MUSIC: Euphoria (2000)
Title: RIDGE RACER V MUSIC: Euphoria (2000)
Description: Composed by Kohta. He has been affiliated with the Namco sound team since '95 although not getting his "official" start until around the time Ridge Racer Type 4 came out. He primarily works on installments of the Ridge Racer series.
Video: ACE COMBAT 6 MUSIC: Weapons of Mass Destruction (2007)
Title: ACE COMBAT 6 MUSIC: Weapons of Mass Destruction (2007)
Description: Composed by Hiroshi Okubo (pictured in vid; I mistakenly thought the pic was Keiki Kobayashi before). He's been with the Namco Sound Team for a while and is mostly known for taking over the role of sound and music director in the Ridge Racer series (except RR5) after Shinji Hosoe left Namco in 1995...
Video: RAVE RACER MUSIC: Jazz Mission (1995)
Title: RAVE RACER MUSIC: Jazz Mission (1995)
Description: Composed by Nobuyoshi "sanodg" Sano, part of the first-generation Ridge Racer sound team after signing with Namco in '92. This game was very popular in Japan compared to the U.S. SamplingMasters put a lot of work into the soundtrack and were probably disappointed it didn't get ported to the Playstation. There have been rumors that Namco/Bandai is considering porting it as an arcade download to either 360, PS3, or Wii. I guess we'll see...

Title: RIDGE RACER 7 MUSIC: Skidmarks (2006)

Video: ACE COMBAT 2 MUSIC: Bear Tracks (1998 version)
Title: ACE COMBAT 2 MUSIC: Bear Tracks (1998 version)
Description: AC2 came out in the U.S. around summer '97. Namco didn't release an "official" soundtrack to it. What they did instead was have the same sound team that worked on the game (Tetsukazu, Hiroshi, and Kohta) do a sampler album, which was a live version of only some of the tracks in the game, which was released in December '97/January '98...
Video: ACE COMBAT ZERO MUSIC: Contact (dkid928 remix)
Title: ACE COMBAT ZERO MUSIC: Contact (dkid928 remix)
Description: Composed by Tetsukazu Nakanishi. I was playing around with this song a little bit and got it to sound slightly different than Nakanishi's original. I always wished the Namco Sound Team did remixes of some of their songs. So I figured I might as well try somethin. The ending part in this track sounds like somethin you'd hear in a dance club. People that haven't played the Ace Combat games are missin out...
Video: ACE COMBAT ZERO MUSIC: Prologue (2006)
Title: ACE COMBAT ZERO MUSIC: Prologue (2006)
Description: Composed by Keiki Kobayashi. I didn't expect the music to be as good as it was being that the Namco Sound Team put so much work into AC5. Except for 6-7 songs, the 2-disc soundtrack was primarily a Kobayashi/Nakanishi collaboration. Some people have said that this is (arguably) the best soundtrack in the series...
