Video: Basement Jaxx feat. Robyn - Hey U
Title: Basement Jaxx feat. Robyn - Hey U
Description: Lyric: I want you There's not a single thing about you that I'd change I need you You can go swimming round and round inside my brain You're so much brighter Than all the shops and city streets You're a fighter And that shows who's good to me Like a fool I still believe in you and me boy (Chorus) Hey U Hey U Don't waste your tears on me Now think of love It always gets you in the end I'm sorry I know I messed up quite a bit along the way We learned things hard and as soon as we forgot just how to play But I wanna take ya From all this grind and all this grief Want to help ya To be all that you can be Chase it out Your desire goes to me boy (Chorus) We fall and we flounder Need something to ground ya Took so long to find ya But then when it clicked you just flew (Will I ever sing our song again?) Badum ba dum ba dum ba bum (Chorus x2) Don't go and break your heart I always told you from the start I'll always be a travelling man Now think of love It always gets you in the end

Title: Weird Al Yankovic - Hardware Store - Music Video
Description: As part of my BA we have to create a "pop promo/music video". For this I've picked Weird Al's awesome "Hardware Store" After many long nights working on storyboards and anamatics (see my other videos) we finally had a final piece put together. Which I'm very happy to say got a rather good mark of 80. Update: I should probably point out that 80 is a VERY good mark in UK Universities, whilst it is out of 100, 70 is a 1st which is the best you can get (3rd, 2:2, 2:1, 1) so I got the best, then some. There are no swears in this song, and yes you do hear "automatic circumciser" which isn't what you think it is. Google for the full lyrics. You may have seen some of the many "Google Image" based videos for this song. This is a live action "real" version, the only one I know of in existence too. It was created entirely from scratch, filmed, edited and post production by myself, Dave Hartly & Christian Allan. Enjoy what we've created, I hope you like it. Oh and finally a HUGE thank you to everyone who has watched, rated and commented on this video, its been hugely more popular than I could ever of imagined, glad you guys like it.

Video: Pump It Up Mega Mix
Title: Pump It Up Mega Mix
Description: Hi! Welcome to my first Pump It Up Mix, which features some songs from Pump It Up Exceed, available on the Xbox and PS2 console systems. You can also find these songs in Pump It Up for PSP. Summer is almost over, so I wanted to squeeze in one more mix before college started! The reason I am making Pump It Up Mixes now is to increase popularity in USA. Most people have never even heard of it before. It's very similar too DDR. This video stops abruptly half way on purpose during an U;nee song, as a signal to her death in 2007. This video is a tribute to her, who was very popular amongst PIU fans. Let me know if you like the Pump It Up Mix, the next one will definitely be better. Not to worry, I will still be making DDR Mixes as well. :) P.S. - If anyone needs help finding how to get a PIU game in USA for their consoles, let me know. ~ Songs Used: * * * * * * * * 1. Pandera- I Love You Baby 2. Kristeen - Ba Bee Loo Be Ra 3. U;nee - Go 4. Banya - Canon in D 5. U;nee - Habit * * * * * * * * * * More about U;nee: U;nee was a Korean actress in South Korea who later pursued her dream of being a singer. Before her debut; U;nee practiced singing, dancing, and songwriting for 3 years in advance so that she would be ready to fulfill her life-long wish. She encountered many obstacles in her journey to be a singer including recieving breast implants to achieve a sexy image that was desired by her record company. U;nee was always pressured by her managers to do certain things she didn't really want to do, but she wanted to make her fans happy as well as continue singing. She pushed on, hoping to see the light of her career, which she felt far from. Her music video; "Call Call Call", which was banned from Korea, caused quite a controversy among fans. While some of her true fans were still loyal to her, fans of her sexuality grew. Later after, when her fans demanded she pose nude in the Korean edition of "Playboy", U;nee was shattered while refusing their demands. She then realized she'd never be able to make them happy like she had hoped and sales of her CDs were failing. On her official website, U;nee wrote "I feel everything is empty and I am now walking down a path I am unsure of". While on many anti-depressants, U;nee also recieved harsh critism & hate letters from many anti-fans through her email, thus adding more to her stress & depression. She was scheduled to start filming her new music video for her 3'rd album on January 22'nd 2007 along with a comeback special performance on February 1'st. However, all the stress and pressure from the Korean media & anti-fans contributed to her final action. U;nee commited suicide by hanging herself on January 21'st...a day before her music video shooting. Her grandmother found her at 12:50pm in her bedroom and quickly called an emergency number, but U;nee was already gone... Despite U;nee's shocking death, her record company decided to release her 3'rd album on the planned date with the permission of her family; it would be the last time any of her fans got to hear her... (Let this be a lesson to all those who strongly critize people. A person may seem to be strong, but some are more fragile than you think. Be careful what you say. It may be the last thing they hear) ~In memory of U;nee~ Rest In Peace May 3, 1981 - January 22'nd, 2007 [Source: http://www.freewebs.com/tribute-to-unee/biography.html]
Video: bauls of bengal
Title: bauls of bengal
Description: Babukishan, deeply inspired by his parents, and grandfather, knew at an early age, that he too wished to compose music, and perform. Babu began on the soil of Bengal, however, he was clearly destined to belong to the world of music. His journey started in early childhood, his first 7 years of life were spent living with his grandparents Sri Nabani and Brajobala Dasi, learning and experiencing a deeply authentic spiritual Baul way of life. Babu was very blessed at the time because his grandfather being a famous Baul saint presented Babu with many opportunities to meet, and associate with other great Saints of India. After his grandfather's Samadhi, Babu moved to Kolkata, and spent the next 12 years at the RamaKrishna Mission, (Vedanta Society of India) in a very deep, and tough spiritual study. During the holidays Babu joined his mother Manju Das Baul, and father Purna Das Baul, playing, composing, and singing Baul music at global festivals, universities, on television, and world radio stations. Despite the many world tours, Babu also found the time to study Indian Philosophy, and Folk music at the University of Kolkata where he eventually secured both his BA in Indian Philosophy, and Master degree in Indian Folk Music. Over the years Babu has learned to play some 15 different instruments, including Harmonium, Tabla, Dholok, Mandolin, Ektara, Khamak, Dotara, ect..and has studied with great teachers such as Nabani Das Baul, Purna Das Baul, Pandit Amarnath, Gyanprakash Ghosh, Mahapurush Mishra, Khokon Mukherjee, R.D. Burman. He has learned both the classical, and folk music of India as well as western music, this knowledge has helped him to compose, and collaborate with some of the worlds top western musicians. Babu has made more than 44 albums in different languages worldwide with reputed music labels as, Universal Music, EMI, Polygram Music, CBS, Star Music, Sony, HMV, T-Series, and he has composed, (feature film music/back ground music, private albums, Documentary films.) Babu's professional career in music began with some of the 20th centuries greatest musician's. He toured with Bob Dylan's The Band in their 1985 East and West tour. He has performed and recorded with music industry greats such as George Harrison, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Chakka Khan, Ravi Shankar, Zakir Hussain, allen ginsberg, Tom Petty, Miles Davis, Allan Fakir, Herbie Mann, Third World, Robbie Robertson, Garth Hudson, Ziggy Marley, R.D.Burman, and many others independently. Babu puts this solid foundation in music to good use by composing and performing in all areas of India's entertainment Bollywood films, and music industry as well as in a variety of venues worldwide. In keeping with his early dreams of developing his own unique style, he turned to the music of the Western world that he had become so familiar with in his early years of performance. His use of original Baul, and Indian rhythms combined with the Reggae produced his own brand of World music, of which Babu's new age Bengali Folk Fusion is the result. Babukishan has held the title of Composer and Music director in numerous Bollywood films, and Indian televison's Series in addition to composing and performing in countless CD"s. As a International teacher, his vast experiences coupled with his gentle and supportive patience, quickly brings out the best in his students. He rewards that best by featuring his students in many of his own professional performances. Babu doesn't just play music ..he oozes music from his soul, and showers his instruments with that essence. Babukishan has been a cultural representative for Baul culture around the world for more than 30 years. Although Babu has achieved much success he knows that his dharma is the preservation, documentation, education as well as continuation of Baul festivals, and the writing of books regarding Baul philosophy, music, and Baul Sadhana to preserve this ancient culture. Babu also has a dream to help the real original Bauls struggling in the villages of Bengal to keep the tradition alive through creating a Baul foundation, and The Bauls of Bengal Cultural Institution & Vedic Acadamy, to help preserve this very ancient Baul lineage. Babu has travelled all over the world and has seen how the world is changing at such a rapid rate, he understands that if the Baul lineage is not preserved its ancient roots will be lost. http://cdbaby.com/cd/babukishan http://community.webshots.com/user/babukishan

And if you check out the jammin I did with these guys r anyone u notice I played the guitfiddle solos right? I hate solos but I am curious for opinions on how I did because the honest to god truth is I didn't know any parts of any of them, I just improvised in the songs key with the tempo i felt fit right. So no lie hate them love them but please leave me some feedback because for one I had a blast improvising and feelin that freedom, and besides that if I sound horrible I want to know because music saves my life at least 4 r 5 times a year so i don't want to disrespt music as the amazing ar it istt
Video: Stanley Jordan
Title: Stanley Jordan
Description: Stanley Jordan (July 31, 1959) is an American jazz/jazz fusion guitarist, best known for his development of the touch technique for playing guitar. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and he received a BA in digital music composition from Princeton University in 1981, studying under computer-music luminaries Paul Lansky and Milton Babbitt. Normally, a guitarist must use two hands to play each note. One hand presses down a guitar string behind a chosen fret to prepare the note, and the other hand either plucks or strums the string to play that note. Jordan's touch technique is an advanced form of two-handed tapping. The guitarist produces a note using only one finger by quickly tapping (or hammering) his finger down behind the appropriate fret. The force of impact causes the string to vibrate enough to immediately sound the note, and Jordan executes tapping with both hands, and with more legato than is normally associated with guitar tapping. The note's volume can be controlled by varying the force of impact: tapping with greater force produces a louder note. A helpful analogy to visualize this technique is the distinction between a harpsichord and a piano. A harpsichord produces sound by plucking its strings, and a piano produces sound by striking its strings with tiny hammers. However, while notes produced on a harpsichord or piano sustain after the hammer has struck or the pick has plucked, fingers must remain on a tapped note in order for the sound to continue. This similarity is what led Jordan to attempt such a technique in the first place;[citation needed] he was a classically trained pianist before playing guitar and wanted greater freedom in voicing chords on his guitar.

Video: Dr. John Lewis The "Inner Jihad" and Islamic Totalitarianism
Title: Dr. John Lewis The "Inner Jihad" and Islamic Totalitarianism
Description: PRESS ADVISORY - AYN RAND INSTITUTE 2121 Alton Parkway, Suite 250, Irvine, CA 92606 May 21, 2008 The "Inner Jihad" and Islamic Totalitarianism Who: Dr. John Lewis, Senior Research Scholar in History and Classics, Social Philosophy and Policy Center What: A talk explaining the real meaning of jihad: a war for the expansion of Islamic rule. A Q & A will follow. Where: Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies, Tel Aviv University, Israel When: June 2, 2008, from 6 to 8 PM Admission is FREE. The lecture will be open to the public and the media. Description: This talk confronts claims that the real meaning of jihad is a benign "inner struggle," and not war for the expansion of Islamic rule. Such claims are contrary to history; even mystical orthodox philosophers such as Al-Ghazali confirmed the meaning of jihad as war. Claims that jihad is an "inner struggle" are best seen either as the apologetics of those who do not want to face the fact that jihad means war, or who wish to cover up this fact in order to achieve the ends of Islamic rule. What the claimants call an "inner jihad" is a process of internal intellectual evasion, in which facts and conclusions contrary to support for Islam are suppressed. The outward political manifestations of such deception are censorship and propaganda, which are used to further Islamic rule.
