Description: Animação retro-psicodélica feita em Londres usando um computador Atari em 1994 A banda In the Nurcery (ITN) que tive o privilégio de conhecer seus integrantes e até assistir um show, foi uma grande influencia no meu próprio trabalho musical com sua mistura de poesia com percussão militar, música clássica, música étnica e eletrônica. Sua música, para mim, sempre soou como uma trilha sonora para um filme que está por ser lançado. Em 1994 a banda lançou o álbum Anatomy of a Poet. Neste álbum, uma música em particular, chamada Hallucinations? (Dream World Mix) despertou-me a atenção de tal forma que não sosseguei até criar uma animação meia surrealista para a mesma. Este trabalho, obviamente é limitado e primitivo mas curiosamente possue uma qualidade "retro psicodélica" que é difícil de ser conseguida nos dias de hoje onde, com o poder dos computadores atuais, o resultado é sempre muito perfeito. Através da ciclagem das cores era possível criar-se uma ilusão de movimento e psicodelia que, para muitas pessoas, claramente poderia ser associado com o efeito causado pelas drogas.

Description: From "Songs of Innocence and Experience", two songs of Experience. In the first, the angel signifies the repression of imagination which adults employ. Blake says that the angel "armed my fear / With... shields and spears" so when the angel returns to comfort him, "he came in vain". Through this Blake suggests that through losing Innocence, people also lose their sense of imagination and freedom of the mind. In Nurse's Song, the nurse becomes fearful and saddened by memories of her own youth. She is disillusioned by the falsity and futility of the adult world ("your winter and night are wasted in disguise"), and innocence thus becomes pointless ("Your spring and your day are wasted in play"). Both poems have an unsettling, disturbing effect. The emotion is fear; the vision is disillusment. Set to a scene from Stanley Kubrik's 2001 Space Odyssey, music and narration by Jah Wobble.
