Myles says Tab's sound is inspiring to him because he incorporates many styles of blues into a strong New Orleans type sound and Tab's music fun to play. Tab Benoit was nominated for a Grammy last year (2006 Best Traditional Blues Album/Brother to the Blues) and this year has won; Contemporary Male Artist of the Year and the BB King Entertainer of the Year from the Blues Foundation (these awards are formerly known as the WC Handy Awards).
