Description: Using archived stock footage, I tried to paint a picture of the tranquility of everyday life being interrupted by chaotic events such as war. Majority of the war stock footage is from Iwo Jima documentation and the city footage comes from various sources, all recorded within the 1930s to 1940s. The song, which is a re-interpreted mix done by myself can be downloaded at the link at the end of this description. It's part of an experimental re-mix project I conducted where I tried to completely re-imagine the way songs (in this case, Nine Inch Nails' "Year Zero") sounded. There was no shortage of confusion at the label regarding the next single from the Aaliyah album. Aaliyah had been promoting "More Than a Woman", having performed it twice and shooting a video with director Dave Meyers in the summer of 2001. According to Blackground, a remix featuring State Property and Jay-Z was also planned, but was scrapped due to her death. The video was to be released but "Rock the Boat" began receiving huge amounts of radio-play, so she was immediately sent to the Bahamas to shoot the video. The "Rock the Boat" music video was put in the 106 & Park: BET's Top 10 Live hall of fame, making the countdown over 65 times and landed in second place on BET's Top 100 videos of 2001. The album went on to sell over 8 million copies worldwide. She died On August 25, 2001, just after wrapping up filming of the "Rock The Boat" video, Aaliyah and various members of her record company boarded at Marsh Harbour, Abaco Island, Bahamas to travel to Opa-locka Airport near Miami, Florida. The crew had another flight scheduled 3 days ahead, but wrapping for the video ended early. Aaliyah's funeral was held on August 31 at Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church in Manhattan, NYC.

The title and credit images are also supplied on the NIN website that seems to be sponsored by Halo Twenty Six. When listening to Track 4, the light music combined with the aggressive music makes me think of someone suppressing their emotions. The ghosts are memories.
