Lyrics: Pride can stand a thousand trials The strong will never fall But watching stars without you My soul cried Heaving heart is full of pain Oh, oh, the aching 'Cause I'm kissing you, oh I'm kissing you, oh Touch me deep, pure and true Gift to me forever 'Cause I'm kissing you, oh I'm kissing you, oh Where are you now? Where are you now? Cause I'm kissing you I'm kissing you, oh

Title: Kissing You - A Will and Mary Bryant music video - Des'ree
Description: Download Video Here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/tqfy3k Song: Kissing You by Des'ree from the Romeo and Juliet Soundtrack Okay, so I recently fell in love with the new show Moonlight starring Alex O'Loughlin. And since I had already wanted to see this film (Mary Bryant) with him in it, I watched it, and fell in love with it as well. There is a great love story between Mary and Will Bryant. And since, I noticed that no one had really made a video about these two characters as of yet, I decided to. :) And for those who haven't seen the film and want to know what's going on: Includes major spoilers for those who haven't seen the movie (I know it's kind of sad). Basically, Mary Bryant is remembering her relationship with Will, and how everything leads up to his death. The line "kissing you" is a metaphor in my mind, so I showed it as thus in the video. In the film, Mary is a convicted felon (she steals food and a bonnett), and is forced to travel on a ship to be a laborer in a new colony (now Australia). She meets Will on the ship, who is also a convict (he did some smuggling). She is pregnant from a previous ship, and finds herself needing to take care of her baby. From the start, Will and Mary have a strong connection. And when she gives birth to a baby girl, Will loves the child as his own. Finally, after much hardship, they reach the colony. There, they are married and they eventually have a son together. Lieutenant Clark, the villain of the story, has always obsessively wanted Mary for his own. So, in order to plan their escape from the hardship of the colony, Mary chooses to sleep with him in order to get Will the key which will get them supplies. Later, they escape with some other convicts. They go on a turbulent journey for about two months, which almost kills them all. But they reach Timor, a Dutch colony and for a short while find happiness while they wait for ships which will bring them back to England. Unfortunately, Clark discovers them, and out of jealousy kills Will. Mary returns to England, but her two children die along the way as well. She is given a pardon, and she returns to her home country where she thinks about how she has lost Will and her two children. Well anyway, if you haven't seen it, you should watch it. It's a great film!!! Starring: Alex O'Loughlin as Will Bryant, Romola Garai as Mary Bryant and Jack Davenport as Lieutenant Clark.

Video: You Gotta Be - Des
Title: You Gotta Be - Des'ree
Description: My 3rd music video. I went into it with a different approach like adding more meaning into the the effects and giving character a motive (i.e. Scenes that are Black & White and/or Solarized indicate the character's discomfort/lack of self-confidence) The ending is just something funny I wanted to add since my mom would constantly walk in on me when I would be recording my videos so it is just a small tribute to that. Sorry the video is a bit choppy cuz youtube streamed it weird and messed up during each upload...can't help it.

Title: Icaraí Beach in Nikiti, Rio de Janeiro State - Des'ree Fire
Description: Des'ree (born Desiree Weeks, November 30, 1968 in London, England) was one of Britain's most successful pop/soul vocalists throughout the 1990s. She changed her name from Desiree Weeks because she preferred a two-syllable name. Growing up in South London, Des'ree's introduction to music came from her parents, who, coming to Britain from the Caribbean, brought with them their island sounds, enabling their daughter to experience reggae, calypso and jazz along with British pop music. It was on returning from a three year spell in Barbados with her family, at the age of fourteen, that Des'ree knew she wanted her life to revolve around music. An avid reader from an early age, she soon found herself moving from studying poetry to writing it, condensing everything she learned from her culture, history and life experiences and setting it to music. It is a style of composition that has not changed over the years. Finding her own voice out of that initial decision has been an interesting adventure that Des'ree has undertaken sometimes alone, sometimes in partnership. In 1994 the single "You Gotta Be" hit the Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 and was a hit in the UK three times. It also allowed Des'ree to break into America. "You Gotta Be" was also a major hit in the United States, and it was featured in the movie, The Next Karate Kid, starring Hilary Swank. It also was featured in a prominent promotional campaign for Good Morning America. The second song from Des'ree's second album, "Crazy Maze" featured in the movie Nothing to Lose. Coincidentally, her last album (Dream Soldier) featured a song entitled "Nothing to Lose". The impact of the "You Gotta Be" single, however, was extraordinary and it rapidly became a nationwide anthem. "You Gotta Be" broke U.S. records, becoming the most played music video on VH1 and after 80 weeks was still on the Billboard recurrent air-play chart. As a result, Des'ree's second album, I Ain't Movin' , has sold in excess of 1.6 million copies worldwide. In fact the impact of the song around the world has been so great that "You Gotta Be" was selected to go on the tribute album for Diana, Princess Of Wales. The success of her new material created another whirlwind of activity for Des'ree. She travelled the world on a sell-out tour and in partnership with Seal, took America by storm on the most popular U.S. tour of 1995.[citation needed] Another landmark experience in that year was her performance at the first ever secular concert at the Vatican and subsequently having a personal audience with the Pope to receive a blessing.[citation needed] Between the release of "I Ain't Movin'" and her album Supernatural, Des'ree was busy in the film world, providing soundtrack material for Spike Lee's Clockers, Set It Off and more recently William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, a film which marked her personal big screen début. Director Baz Luhrmann approached her to contribute a song to his Hollywood interpretation of Romeo And Juliet' and to critical acclaim Des'ree sang "Kissing You (Love Theme From Romeo & Juliet)" at 'The Capulet's Ball', where the young Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Juliet (Claire Danes) appear in their first scene together. This film launched DiCaprio and Danes to stardom and Des'ree's music is intimately associated with that moment.[citation needed] The song was later covered by American R&B superstar Beyonce as a new track for the re-release of her album B'Day. In 1998 the single "Life" became an enormous hit in Europe, topping several charts. In 1999, she won a BRIT Award for the British Female Solo Artist category. This single was also used as the music for the trailer of a film entitled Life (2001), starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. Des'ree has also performed various duets, including "Fire" with Babyface, "Plenty Lovin" with Steve Winwood and "Delicate" with Terence Trent D'Arby. Her 2003 release Dream Soldier was considerably less successful. In this light, record company Sony dropped her. Since then, her official website is gone and there's no news about her musical carreer. Des'ree has also added her voice to the anti-fur campaigns featuring on PETA's website, as well as FurIsDead.com. In her print ad, she is quoted as saying "Animals should not be fashion victims". Des'ree recently came in the news because Beyoncé Knowles made a cover of the song 'I'm Kissing You'. It's on the re-release of her latest album B'day. The deal with the Des'ree's lawyers was to keep the original title and not to shoot a music video. Beyoncé has violated both terms so she is now accused of plagiarism. The verdict in this case will be on May 4th. In the meantime, Beyoncé has pulled back the special edition of B'day from the shops.
