Title: Punk's Not Dead - official trailer
Description: In Theaters Now. For schedule: http://www.punksnotdeadthemovie.com On the edge of the 30th anniversary of punk rock, Punk's Not Dead takes you into the sweaty underground clubs, backyard parties, recording studios, and yes, shopping malls and stadium shows where punk rock music and culture continue to thrive. Thirty years after bands like the Ramones and the Sex Pistols infamously shocked the system with their hard, fast, status-quo-killing rock, the longest-running punk band in history is drawing bigger crowds than ever, "pop-punk" bands have found success on MTV, and kids too young to drive are forming bands that carry the torch for punk's raw, immediate sound. Meanwhile, "punk" has become a marketing concept to sell everything from cars to vodka, and dyed hair and piercings mark a rite of passage for thousands of kids. Can the true, nonconformist punk spirit still exist in today's corporatized culture? Featuring interviews, performances, and behind-the-scenes journeys with the bands, labels, fans, and press who keep punk alive, Punk's Not Dead dares to juxtapose pop-punk's music and lifestyle against the roots in the 70s and 80s, resulting in unexpected revelations. A DIY search for the soul of a subculture and a celebration of all things loud, fast, and spiked, Punk's Not Dead shows punk is stronger and more relevant today than it's ever been. Live performances, interviews and antics from: 36 Daggers, 999, The Adicts, Alkaline Trio, Anti-Flag, Angelic Upstarts, The Anti-Nowhere League, The Ataris, The Bad Brains, Bad Religion, The Bags, Bang Sugar Bang, Bastard Squad, Jello Biafra, Billyclub, Black Flag, Black Market Baby, The Briefs, The Business, Buzzcocks, The Casualties, Channel 3, Circle Jerks, The Clash, Cocksparrer, The Cramps, Culpables, The Damned, Dead Kennedys, DEK, Desa, DI, The Diffs, Discharge, Division of Laura Lee, DOA, Dropkick Murphys, The Exploited, Fallopian, Flipper, The Forgotten, Funeral Dress, Fugazi, Generation X, GBH, The Germs, The God Awfuls, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Iron Cross, Juliette and the Licks, L7, Malas Cartas, MC5, Minor Threat, Mordingjarnir, My Chemical Romance, Naked Agression, Narcoleptic Youth, NOFX, The Offspring, Once and Again, Operation Ivy, Orange, Pennywise, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, Plan B, Pogo Atak, Punk Rock Objects, The Rabble, The Ramones, Rancid, Rasputin, Rocket Rockers, Henry Rollins, Scream, Sex Pistols, Sham 69, Side Effect, Simple Plan, The Skulls, The Slits, T.V. Video: Tay-Sachs disease. A tragic disorder this is ALWAYS fatal
Title: Tay-Sachs disease. A tragic disorder this is ALWAYS fatal
Description: This is a video, that I wish, I didn't have to do. Its a very sad video, and in this video, I talk about a disorder known as Tay-Sachs disease, or TSD. Picture this. You just had a baby boy named Evan. He appeared just like all the rest. He started out, crying, cooing, and learned to crawl at eight months. But, as he apporaches his ninth month of his life, u notice, that he's kind of behind. You have a friend, who just had a baby, six months ago. This baby, is already crawling, and learning how to walk. He's a fast learner. U notice, that the baby, starts having trouble even crawling. He then, loses the ability to sit up. He can role over, but something isn't right. You go to your Doctor's office. What is wrong with my baby? A whole bunch of blood tests, MRI scans, CT scans, EEGS, EKGs, EMGs, and 1000 other different tests. Then, you can observe a red spot on his retinas. What is going on? At one year of age, your baby cannot even role over. Doctor???? Please help me with my baby. He is getting worse. ONE MORE TEST IS DONE. Your Doctor maske a devistating phone call. Mam? I have some VERY sad news for you. I need you to come up to the office. You take your son up to the office. You are called in, to a private room. The brown door, is shut, and locked. You feel this earry feeling inside you, and you know, that something is wrong. You sit down in a black hard chair. Doctor? What is wrong with my son? Mrs. Mckensly? I'm sorry to say this,, (Pause), but your son Evan, has Tay-Sachs disease. The Doctor tells you what this disorder is. You leave the office, crying, and your son, is asleep in your arms. You stumble out to the car. You place your son in the back of the car, and you barely remember, even walking to the car. The Doctor's words are like a sledge hammer hitting you in the stomach. Your son has Tay-Sachs disease. Your son goes home, and you watch him slowly deteriorate. He now has a feeding tube in his stomach, because he can no longer swallow. He then, has to go on a monitor known as a pulse oximeter. This monitor is placed on his toe, and it has black numbers on a pale yellow screen. You have to watch this and if his oxygen levels drop, an alarm will sound. beep beep beep--beep beep That alarm, makes you feel like, your gonna have a heart attack. One morning, you just got Evan up. You have him in his wheelchair. He is FOUR years old, and now breathes with the help of a ventilator, which is inserted in his neck, via a hole, and a tube, that goes into this hole. THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING YOU SAY TO YOUR SELF, as his heart rate, drops below 60 BPM. You call for an ambulance. You are taken to the hospital, where the Doctors tell you the words, that NOONE WANTS TO HEAR. Your son isn't going to make it through the night. You go into the ICU to see your son, all hooked up to tubes, and wires. A tube coming from his tracheostomy in a hole in his neck, goes to a machine, which has dials, and swiches on it. You see pulse oximeters on him. About four. You see an ECG monitor on his chest. You see his heart rate is only 50, and it is slowly going down. Your heart is broken. Someone comes up to you, and says, "Your son lived a very good life. He had the blessing of being your son." Is is then, that you reallize what you need to do. Your son is removed from life support, and he dies a peacful death. PLEASE BROTHERN. HELP US FIND THE CURE FOR TAY-SACHS, because WE CAN SAVE LIVES BY DOING THAT. I WANNA ASK YOU ALL, TO TAKE PART, to DESTROY THE DISORDER. To help children and give them the OPERTUNITY TO HAVE something WE ALL should have. ("LIFE"). Go to curetay-sachs.org to find out how you can help. curetay-sachs.org.It may very well be a step closer to the CURE. Listen. I didn't write the story on the description for your enjoyment, for your entertainment, or anything like that. I wanted you to imagine that, because, I am imagining that all the time. Because, I am hurt because of this disorder. I hate to hear about children with the disorder. Its ALWAYS FATAL. And, children actually suffer. I mean. Imagine yourself hooked up to tubes and wires in a crib, with no room for clothes on your little body because of all the tubes and wires. And you are unable to move, see, hear, and even BREATHE. Its scarey even thinking about it. BUT CHILDREN GO THROUGH THIS, and (""WE MUST STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING TO ANOTHER CHILD. WE. Not You. NOT I""). ("WE"). ' Please. help these children. Help find the cure for Tay-Sachs disease, so more children, can live. And so NO more children will end up deff, blind, and paralyzed. PLEASE. DO NOT WAISTE ANOTHER MINUTE. NOT ANOTHER SECOND. HELP FIND THE CURE FOR Tay-Sachs Disease. HELP US FIND THE CURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
