Title: "Trailer Park" #1 ~Original Movie Trailers: "Sunburn"~"Goldengirl"~"Die Laughing"
Description: This is the first in a series of "Trailer Parks"-a collection of rare mostly forgotten complete movie trailers in Widescreen, from various films of the past including the original blue band that preceded the trailers. The first set of trailers in the series is a trio of films featuring stars that were very "hot" in the late 70's Farrah Fawcett-Majors, Susan Anton, and Robby Benson. Clip one is from 1979's "Sunburn" which starred Farrah Fawcett-Majors (as she was known at the time), Charles Grodin and Art Carney. The film about an insurance swindle in Acapulco, features some great scenery (especially those scenes featuring Ms. Fawcett). Next up is a clip from 1979's "Goldengirl", which was the feature film debut of Susan Anton and also featured James Coburn, Curt Jurgens, and Leslie Caron. In this film, Anton plays Goldine Serafin, a runner who was raised to be a winner. Genetically altered by her "Dr. Frankenstein" like father (played by Jurgens), and programmed to win the 1980 Olympic gold. The last trailer on this particular "Trailer Park" is from 1980's "Die Laughing". Robby Benson starred, cowrote and even performs some of the songs in this ill-fated comedy that is an undeniable favorite of mine. Produced by Jon Peters with songs co written by Benson and his real life father Jerry Segal, "Die Laughing" is a comedy mystery with music that features Russian spys, a spider monkey that likes cold pizza and black olives. Description: This is Greg Michaels of the SANDY WEST BAND, Greg was an incredible guitarist/singer songwriter,it is hard for me to fathom,why he disapeared off the Radar and quit Playing?, ( well that can never happen as Greg Passed away in 2004 oh man what a Loss) Anyway, here Greg sings a self penned song that SANDY loved to play called "DIE LAUGHING" she allowed us to have a few songs each for a set, which was just fine, as it Was the SANDY WEST BAND,so to play your own stuff with Sandy was way cool... as she had songs of her own, which she wrote nearly everyday. and we would 4 track the ones she liked, so somewhere there are many more tapes, i have about 200 in a box,(there are many bands in there from that time)I am looking, so I can bring them to you, if any are in there!!!, I hope.
