Title: Apr 14 07 Acoustic Alchemy 's Casino Shared Genes @ Tralf
Description: From our performance on April 14, 2007 at The Tralf Music Hall in Buffalo NY before about 300 patrons. There is significant background noise because of the number of people and because there are drinks and food being served, great fun for everyone, but not especially conducive to recording a video. The volume on one side of the PA seems low on some videos, but not too bad. Makes life interesting.
The clip features father and son guitar duo "Shared Genes" (Sam and 14 year old Ted). Lead singer, Josh Gleason of the Genesis tribute band "The Waiting Room" (www.GenesisTrubute.com), saw us at one of our regular venues in Rochester and generously asked us to open for his band.
The song presented here is an Acoustic Alchemy tune called " Casino " and has the show's introduction.

Title: Spring Grove Cemetery-Acoustic Alchemy
Description: Some recent photos I shot in Spring Grove Cemetery And Arboretum set to the music of Acoustic Alchemy.
Opened in 1845, artists take their easels to this beautiful resting place. Young lovers lie on the grass beside one of its 14 lakes. In addition to being a cemetery and park, it's a world-class arboretum/botanical garden and nature preserve, with at least one of every tree native to the area.
There are also tens of thousands of spectacular monuments, statues, obelisks and mausoleums. Thirty-seven Civil War generals are buried here, Salmon Chase who was Secretary of the Treasury under Abraham Lincoln plus the parents of Ulysses S. Grant.
Spring Grove Cemetery is HUGE at 733 acres! There are 300 acres out of the 733 that are still undeveloped to allow for future growth. The cemetery is absolutely gorgeous...it also serves as an arboretum and park. There are several prizewinning trees in the arboretum, and many centenarians (trees that are 100 years or older). The arboretum also provides a nice home to local wildlife. There are lots of birds, chipmunks, squirrels, among other animals.
The architecture found there is spectacular. Miniature replicas of Notre Dame Cathedral, The Parthenon and The Great Sphinx Of Giza are most notable.
On March 29, 2007, the cemetery was designated a National Historic Landmark.

Converted to Standard Def mpeg2 DVD in Sony Vegas 7. Mpeg2 converted to Zune 640x480 mp4 through
Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus.
Converting wide-screen Hi-Def vids down to Standard Def seems to produce a better quality than shooting in Standard Def, although with commensurate vertical elongation.
There is a view that a video should be rendered down to 320x240 as You Tube uses it's own programming to reduce it to that format anyway, and that any program the user has will normally be better than You Tube's own. Through experiment I've found that this is not necessarily so; user-rendering to 320x240 ultimately seems to produce more pixelation and smear than that to 640x480.
